Refund Policy

Textbooks purchased more than one month prior to the start date of a semester or the start date of a telecourse may not be eligible for a refund.

For a FULL REFUND of REQUIRED TEXTBOOKS / BUNDLES -

  • Textbooks for classes lasting 13 to 16 weeks may be returned 10 days from the class start date.

  • Textbooks for classes lasting 6 to 12 weeks may be returned 5 days from the class start date.

  • Textbooks for classes lasting less than 6 weeks may be returned 3 days from the class start date.

  • To compute the refund time limit, count days Monday through Friday. Do not count Saturday, Sundays or holidays. Days must be counted from and include the class start date.

  • The cash register receipt must be presented to return, refund or exchange a textbook.

  • New books must be in brand new condition.

  • Used books must be in clean condition so that the Bookstore can resell them

Defective books will be replaced at no charge if returned as soon as the defect is discovered. If a used replacement book is not available, the customer will pay the difference between the new and used price.

OPTIONAL BOOKS AND ALL OTHER MERCHANDISE may be returned 5 days from the date of purchase.

Used Books - Buy at your own risk. Since a reasonable amount of writing and highlighting of textbooks is allowed (excluding study guides and workbooks), please examine used textbooks carefully before purchasing them. They may be ineligible for the end of semester buyback due to condition.

For credit card refunds, the same credit card used in the original purchase must be physically presented to the cashier along with the receipt in order to receive refund.

Book Buying Tips

  • Never buy a book until you've examined it to make sure it's in acceptable condition.

  • Never write, mark or soil your new textbook(s).

    - until you are sure you have the correct book(s).
    - until you are sure your class won't be cancelled.
    - until you are sure you won't drop (withdraw from) the course.

Books Available for Purchase

Books for spring semester will be available the week after the Fall semester ending buyback.

Books for summer semester will be available the week after the Spring semester ending buyback.

Books for fall semester will be available the week after Summer semester ending buyback.

Book Buy Back

For Fall and Spring semester ending - buybacks will be held the last week of
the semester (final's week). Buyback hours will be Monday through Thursday 9:00am - 6:00pm and Friday: 9:00am - 3:30pm

For Summer semester ending - buyback will be held the first full work week of August (since the Bookstore is closed on Fridays in the summer, the first full work week would consist of the first week of August with consecutive days of Monday through Thursday). Buyback hours will be Monday through Thursday 9:00am - 6:00pm. The Bookstore reserves the right to amend summer buyback dates due to change in semester end date. Additional summer buyback dates may also be posted within the Bookstore and around campus.

The Bookstore reserves the right to limit quantities of all titles purchased during buy back. Books, which will not be used the next semester or titles which exceed the Bookstore's quota, may be repurchased at the current wholesale market value. Buyback is a service provided by the bookstore, not an obligation.

Workbooks, study guides, discontinued editions, parts of set, and books in poor condition may not be repurchased during buy back days.

New and used books in good condition, which will be used the next semester, may be repurchased at up to 50% of the purchase price.
